Please keep in mind that paintings are not photographs. While I strive to make the subject look as much like the photo reference, it will always have some differences. The goal is to create a likeness that is painterly and unique.
Clients may contact the artist at [email protected] for a consultation and to schedule a portrait sitting.
A single fine-detail portrait takes many hours to complete and the time needed will vary depending upon the size and number of animals in the painting.
An 11X14 " or 16X20" is well-suited for one subject while larger than 16X20" works better for more than one subject. Each portrait is done on acid free fine art pastel paper (pastels) or illustration board (charcoals). Oils are done on gallery wrapped professional canvas.
Matting and framing is not included and left to the discretion of the client. I will be happy to do this for an additional fee.
Also not included in the fees are travel expenses, sales tax, processing fees and shipping. While you own the painting, all work is copyrighted by Steelman Studios for use in advertisements, presentations, etc.
